Italy senior Halee Turner commits to play volleyball for Cedar Valley College

Italy High School senior Lady Gladiator Halee Turner commits with Cedar Valley College in Lancaster, Texas. After attending open tryouts for the Lady Suns volleyball program, Halee was offered the position of middle blocker.
Halee Turner is the daughter of Ronda and Paul Cockerham of Italy and Emily and Lee Turner of Frisco. She gave an all-district performance while helping to lead the Lady Gladiators into the playoffs during her senior season.
Halee was named the Team MVP for volleyball during the Italy HS Fall Athletic Banquet and was recently a member of the 2016 Italy girls State Championship track team where her 800M Relay team finished in 1st Place with a time of 144.81. Halee also finished 4th in the Hurdles with a time of 15.42 in what was her fourth consecutive year to qualify for state.
