School Board Candidate: Grady M. Haight
Family, Friends and Italy Citizens,
I am writing this letter to announce my decision to run for a seat on the Italy School Board. I am asking you for your support during my candidacy. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a few things about myself.
My life began in small town, Texas like many of yours. During my lifetime, I have experienced my share of adversities as well as my share of accomplishments. I have been met with many of the same decisions that our children today are met with and I found my way to the upside of them all. Today I am a successful business man who has built my business from the ground level into a multi million dollar company with over 200 people working with me. I have been involved personally in every decision made for my company from budgeting to growth. This success has happened for me because I am a dedicated, hardworking and loyal man who feels that failure happens when we stop trying to achieve greatness.
I am also a successful family man. Together, my wife, Tina Haight and I have 5 children, one grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Three of our children are currently enrolled in the Italy School District. My grown son has his permanent residence here. My sister is actively involved in the school district while my niece attends our high school here. Tina and I strive to insure that the place we raise our family, children and future grandchildren, is a place where we never doubt the education and security of self that they are receiving. We both feel that Italy is the place to do this.
My family cares for all of Italy’s youth, not just our own. We have been trying to insure that all of the children and families in this community have the proper tools that they need to achieve their own success story.
I believe that I would make an effective addition to the Italy School Board. I am an independent thinker who was taught to value family, hard work and education. I can offer my analytical skills to help the board and the community deal with the challenges that lie ahead for Italy. I also believe that my personal business history would add great strength to the boards’ budgetary decision making.
Again, I ask you for your support.
Respectfully,
Signed Marty Haight
