All three teams from IYAA (Italy Youth Athletic Association) performed this past Saturday against Blooming Grove Lions. These kids are Kindergarden to 6th grade, divided into three teams. They are our future Italy Gladiators and the on the field training proves to be a good thing.

The Italy “C” team consists of students K-2nd grade. With a win against Blooming Grove last Saturday, the team moved to 2-0. The final score was 20-6. The Lions did not seem like much of a challenge to this group as they plunged ahead and kept the Blooming Grove offense from scoring after the first touchdown.

Italy “B” team is made up of 3rd and 4th grade students. The Gladiator team held the Lions at bay with a 14-0 score, making this team 2-0. They scored a touchdown from an interception and one more by returning a fumble.

The Italy “A” team consists of 5th and 6th grade kids. The Gladiators tangled with the Lions but struggled to put points on the board. Blooming Grove held on to win 20-0. This makes this team 0-2.
