Shaggy is a three-year-old male Briard mix. He weighs 60 pounds and is the best dog. He is good with a crowd, good with other animals and good with kids. He is house trained, walks on a leash — just a great dog.

I had never heard of a Briard before so I did a little research and look what I discovered.

The Briard is a very loyal and protective breed. The briard is also called ‘a heart of gold wrapped in fur.’ Once they have bonded with you and your family members they are very protective. They have been bred for centuries to herd and protect their flocks.

The Briard has a very good memory. Once a lesson is learned, good or bad, the knowledge will be retained for a long time to come.

Savannah is a six-month-old female Terrier mix. She weighs 18 pounds. She has a lot of energy and needs a good place to run or if you like to run, take her with you. She is crate trained but not yet house broken. Savannah is the cutest most loving little puppy. She has been at the shelter the longest and her adoption price is now $10. She is on the endangered list, if you want a cute little friend please adopt Savannah her time is short.

Saturday – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The adoption fee is $55. This covers shots, deworming, the microchip, and heart worm testing if they are old enough, feline leukemia (FeLV) and feline “aids” (FIV) testing if they are old enough. When you adopt a pet from Corsicana Animal Shelter you agree to get your pet spayed or neutered after they are six months old. If you adopt a dog or cat that is older than six months you have thirty days to get them spayed or neutered.
