Tuesday night, was the IYAA bonfire and what a night it was. You started your evening off with pizza, pizza and more pizza! Parents and their children did not go hungry.

While you were eating your pizza, you were entertained by rockin’ music played by disc jockey Bryant Cochran. “I am basically the IYAA DJ. I think it is an excellent venue. The kids get to come out and mingle with the other kids with their parents. We have a lot of parents out here tonight and I think it is just wonderful how they are supporting their kids. It is a beautiful thing to see all the kids and their parents together at one place having a great time.”

Talking about having a great time, you should have seen Kendrick Norwood doing the “Stanky Leg”. Kendrick and all who watched, had a great time. “When I was a baby I used to dance, that is why I am so good,” said eight year old Kendrick. And good, he was!

It was a dark and beautiful night for the lighting of the bon fire. Everyone was clapping when the flames went up — a beautiful sight.

The entertainment was carried on by the IYAA cheerleaders. They cheered and danced up a storm while the bonfire burned behind them — an awesome sight.

A great beginning for Homecoming week.
