At Italy High School, you can see colors running everywhere. The contest is to see how many students dress in the color assigned to their class. Mrs. Ann Hyles, freshman sponsor, said, “This is TAKS retesting week, as well as Homecoming. The main objective is to teach. But we are still wanting to have some fun, but we keep it low key.”

Purple, yellow, orange, blue, green and red are colors of the day at Italy High School. This is Homecoming Week and there is something happening everyday. Monday was Pajama Day, Tuesday was Twin Day, Wednesday was Hillbilly Day, Thursday is Color Day and Friday is Spirit Day.

Each class dressed in their class color and waited for the judge to decide. Winners were given items donated from area businesses. The Plaid Donkey from Waxahachie donated Brighten jewelry to all the girls. Jerry Brooks from Nation Truck & Car Wash, Pizza Inn and Subway in Italy donated a free car wash and pizza to the boys. Both groups had bags of candy to eat as well.
