The Italy Lions Club is having their first BBQ cookoff and are very excited. They hope to have several cookers there from all over the state.

Bring your smoker! The Italy Lions Club’s BBQ Cook Off will be on February 27th & 28th at Upchurch Ball Park.

There will be a $65.00 entry fee plus one cooked brisket. Each entrant can compete in any or all categories (1/2 chicken, Pork Spare Ribs and Brisket). There will also be a jackpot Bean category with an additional $10 entry fee (Beans provided by the Lions club). This entire event will have a 100% payout of all entry fees.

They are also very excited about the one category for locals only. This category is for LOCALS ONLY and the winner will receive a traveling trophy to keep until next years event then will try to retain posession of the trophy.

BBQ plate lunches will be sold for $6.00. All proceeds from the plate lunches will benefit the Lions Club Scholarship Program. Delivery orders will be taken.

This will be a rain or shine event and is sanctioned by the Lone Star Barbecue Society.
