On Monday, Dec 29, local Italy resident, Mike Ervin, 51, was found dead in his studio apartment at Monolithic Rentals on Studio Street.

His daughter, Kristi Turner, said she had been calling her father but he wasn’t answering his phone calls and was very worried about him. Turner asked the apartment manager to open the door. At that time, Ervin was found deceased, alleged suicide, according to Judge Jackie Miller. Italy police were called, as well as Ellis County Sheriff’s Department.

At this time, there is no more information due to an on-going investigation into the incident.
