ASVAB test at Italy High School
The ASVAB Program recently was re-designed to be helpful to virtually all students, whether they are planning on immediate employment after high school in civilian or military occupations, or further education at a university, community college, or vocational institution.
Results of the aptitude test and the interest inventory enable students to evaluate their skills, estimate performance in academic and vocational endeavors, and identify potentially satisfying careers. These results are integrated with work values to help students identify and prioritize possible career choices. Students are encouraged to consider their own work-related values and other important personal preferences as they explore the world of work and learn career exploration skills that will benefit them throughout their work lives.
This is a free program that a student can tremendously benefit from as they contemplate degrees and career opportunities. There is no further commitment required after the test to participate. Please encourage your child to take adavantage of this valuable opportunity.
This test will be administered on January 26, 2009 at the Italy High School campus.
