Backup needed at Tiger Mart
Outside the Stuckey’s Tiger Mart around 12:30 p.m. Friday in Italy, paramedics and 1st responders were called to assist a man who allegedly was suffering from an overdose of narcotics.
Paramedics struggled to give the man needed medical attention since he was being uncooperative, backup was called in.
At that point, customers as well as rescue personnel were now at risk so reinforcements were dispatched to the convenience store. The Italy and Milford Police along with two Italy Fire vehicles responded quickly to the scene.
The man was eventually loaded into the ambulance and taken to the hospital. Italy Fire Chief Don Chambers and Italy Police Chief C.V. Johns were on hand to ensure everything was handled professionally and efficiently.
