Playoff Fan Traffic Report: I-35 to be shutdown in Hillsboro tonight
Lady Gladiators Playoff game at West High School tonight! — Fans will be taking the scenic route to see the Lady Gladiators take on Valley Mills as I-35 will be closed tonight. (Barry Byers)
Per TxDOT both the north bound and south bound lanes of I-35 will be closed beginning at 7:00 p.m. tonight, February 17, in the Hillsboro area. This closure will directly affect all of the Lady Gladiator fans traveling to West tonight to support our Lady Gladiators as they take on Valley Mills for a Bi-District Title.
The following directions will be the best route to the game thus completely avoiding I-35.
Directions to West High School via FM 308
- Drive south on Hwy 77 from Italy to Milford.
- Take a left on FM 308 after you pass the downtown Milford area.
- Stay on FM 308 through Mertens, Irene, Malone and Penelope.
- Just as you leave Penelope headed west, take a right on FM 2114.
- Stay on 2114 for about 10 miles. (You will be able to see West High School over to the right.)
- As you are entering West you will see the West Pool (the Playdium) on the left.
- Immediately take a right on Playdium Drive.
- After a short distance there will be a stop sign on Roberts Street, take a right.
- The road then splits, stay right.
- West High School will be on the right.
