A pretty sky for all to see
Tonight, February 27th if you take a little time to look up at the sky at about sunset you will be able to see a Moon-Venus conjunction. Now, this is not an unusual event but this conjunction will have some unique qualities.
What will happen is the crescent moon will pass by Venus, creating a gorgeous and mesmerizing pair of lights in the
sunset sky.
Venus will be at the maximum brightness: magnitude – 4.6. The brightest star in the sky, after the sun, is Sirius but at this time Venus will be twenty times brighter.
Be very careful while viewing this spectacular sunset while driving, staring at Venus and the Moon could cause a major distraction, riskier than texting!
