On March 12th Milford ISD is the place you want to be. Students in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades will be performing songs in the gymnasium as part of this year’s “World’s Largest Concert” at 7:00 PM.

The World’s Largest Concert is a sing along concert that has reached an estimated six million students, teachers, and music supporters in recent years. This year voices from around the globe will sing on March 12th linking students around the world through music and Milford ISD will be participating.

The concert songs will be: The Star Spangled Banner, Everybody Say Peace, I’ll make the Difference and An American Song.

Other special activities planned for music students include weekly music trivia contests, special color contests for grades K-2nd, and “Just Imagine” short essay contests for grades 4-7. Special recognition and prizes will be given to outstanding students in all activities.

Marilee Byrne, (Milford ISD principle) said, “I think this is so neat. I am for anything that will enhance the student’s awareness of music and the importance of music in their lives.”
