The Gladiators hosted Waxahachie Advantage Wednesday night to make up a rain out game earlier in the schedule. Italy High School came prepared for their second game of the season, armed with two sophomore pitchers, Ethan Simon and Colton Campbell, and players ready for battle. The Gladiators put another mark in their win column with a score of 17-6 against the Eagles.

Follow the Gladiators to Grand Prairie to play Advantage at 4:00 pm on Thursday, March 19. Anyone wanting to follow the bus to the game in a caravan, please be at the school parking lot at 1:30. Travel I35 north to I20 and go west. Exit Carrier and take a right. Drive to Marshall and turn left on Marshall. The field will be in a park area.

Go Gladiators!

It is great to see Coach Coker stay for another year and commit to rebuilding our baseball program. The new uniforms look great as well as the field. There is a lot of talent on this team, and if these guys will stay together for the next few years there will be good things in store. With Mildred, Blooming Grove, Maypearl, and Palmer out of our district for the foreseeable future, this could be the best stretch of Italy baseball since the 2001 and 2002 seasons under Coach Waddle. Good luck to the team for the rest of the season.
