Italy Gladiators JV Baseball vs Abbott on Friday, March 23rd has been cancelled.

Italy Gladiator Varsity Baseball vs Abbott is still on for Friday March 23rd, but the time has changed to 4:30 in Abbott.

Come out to Abbott and cheer on our boys!!

A great time to be a Gladiator

Twenty years ago the Italy Gladiator basketball team won state. Their legacy lives on in the hearts and minds of each of the athletes, coaches and Italy Gladiator fans. This year the Gladiators wanted to repeat what the 1997 team had done and worked hard to achieve that goal.

Italy topples Itasca 14-3 to wrap up their 2016 district campaign while honoring 8 seniors during Senior Night at Loyd Davidson Field. Caps off to 2016 seniors Levi McBride, Micah Escamilla, Jorge Galvan, Ryan Connor, Hunter Merimon, Clayton Miller, Austin Crawford and Ty Windham for their dedication throughout their careers at Italy High School!

We have an update on Baseball and Softball schedule for today.

  • Italy Gladiator Baseball Game against Meridian has been CANCELLED for tonight.
  • Lady Gladiator Softball Game against Kerns has been moved to play here at 6:00 pm. Please come out and support our Lady Gladiators tonight.

Italy baseball playoff game delayed

Our Italy Gladiators will have to wait another day to take on Mart in the bi-district contest. Game is re-scheduled for noon on Saturday, May 9th at Waco Connally. If Connally’s field is unplayable then game will be moved to Franklin at 2pm.

IHS Baseball sends thanks

The IHS Baseball team, coaches, and parents would like to thank everyone who helped make the 2014 chili supper fundraiser a success. The money raised will go towards purchasing new uniforms and new bats for the coming baseball season. Come out next spring and see your IHS baseball players shining in their new uniforms.

2014 District 14-A Baseball All-District Awards

Thirteen Gladiator Baseball teammates proudly have their names listed on the 2014 All-District list of honors for the 14A baseball district. In addition, three of those Gladiators are included on the All-Academic honor roll for the district. Congratulations to all of the young men on a great season both on the field and in the classroom.

Congratulations to Italy Gladiator Baseball on their perfect district mark of 10-0 to be the undisputed 2014 Class A district champions! Italy accomplished the feat after beating Frost 12-4 in what was the final home game at Loyd Davidson Field for Italy’s five seniors, including: Tyler Anderson, Kevin Roldan, Bailey Walton, Zain Byers and Eric Carson.
