Clyde Ferrell entertains residents with song
It was a hoppin’ and a boppin’ at Trinity Mission Tuesday afternoon around two o’clock. Some residents could be seen dancing to Clyde Ferrell’s singing and guitar playing. Clyde even danced with Miss Cullen (one of the residents).
Ferrell comes to Trinity Mission a couple times a year to delight the residents with song while playing his guitar. The residents, especially the lady folk, love it when Clyde comes. He sings all the songs of their era. He sang Johnny Be Good, That Will Be the Day, Streets of Loredo, Old Cowhand and many more.
Clyde travels near and far to many care centers entertaining the residents and brightening their day.
Edith Baker (resident), said, “He is great! I love it when he comes here to sing to us. I have enjoyed all the years he has come and entertained us.”
Mr. Kelly (resident) commented,“If I had good feet I could really dance to the good stuff he is playing. I used to go dancing every Friday night when I was young.”
“We are singing right into spring with Clyde Ferrell and his guitar,” said Carolyn Powell (activities director).
Another good day at Trinity Mission!
