Easter Fun at the Haights
Wednesday, April 8th two school buses with lots of Stafford Elementary students pulled up to the Haight’s residence for a magnificent Easter Egg Hunt. Along with the Stafford students there were many parents that also came for this event.
Everywhere you went there were fun things going on. There was rock climbing, a jump house, two differnt types of slides, the Easter Bunny, Clowns on stilts, a tattoo booth, lots of kids and lots of fun. “I really liked the rock climbing and getting tattoos. It was pretty awesome, my favorite part was the tattoos,” said Clay Riddle (Stafford Student).
A variety of games such as: Tip a Troll, Spill the Milk, Horse Shoes, Wheel of Fortune, Frog Hop and Slap Shot were set up and ready for the students to play. Cassidy Svehlak (Stafford student) said, “I loved playing the games. I played Don’t Spill the Milk and Wheel of Fortune.”
That’s not all – there was a big Easter Egg Hunt that had confetti eggs, eggs filled with candy and we cannot forget the golden eggs. There were three golden eggs per grade filled with a $20.00 bill!
CiCi’s Pizza was on site and everyone had delicious pizza for lunch along with Easter cookies for desert.
No one was left out of the fun. There was “a race for prizes” set up for the teachers and staff. Teachers and staff all lined up in a long line, side by side, and ran as fast as they could to the finish line where all the prizes were. Each person was allowed two prizes each. The prizes consisted of jewelry, purses, Easter figurines and items from Bath and Body Works.
Melissa Bedard (Stafford counselor), said, “This was very generous of the Haights. It was a really great thing they did and the kids had a wonderful time.”
Jennifer Dickerson (Stafford Pre-K teacher), said, “The kids had a blast, they all got to get together with their brothers and sisters. It is always good when we do a school event like this because parents can take off work, and go on field trips with all the kids.”
Another great day for Stafford students! Happy Easter!
