I opted to get some extra hours in at work instead of making a trip to Hubbard on Tuesday night and frankly I messed up. To be real honest I figured I already knew the outcome of the game based on their last contest. I was wrong, dead wrong. Our Lady Gladiators defeated the Hubbard Lady Jaguars 7-3 in a contest that showcased Italy’s determination, desire and heart. Ladies, My apologies for ever doubting….“I Believe”.

From Coach Reeves: “I am really proud of our girls. They played hard last night. We keep getting better every game. We fixed the mistakes that we made last game against Hubbard and that showed during the game. I think that we have a great chance to do well in the playoffs and we are having a lot of fun right now.”

On Friday Italy will travel to Dawson for their final district game. Game time is 4:30 p.m.

In the event that the Lady Gladiators and the Hubbard Lady Jaguars end up in a district tie, there will be a rematch Saturday to determine seeding in the playoffs. The game is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. at the Navarro College Softball complex. Admission will be $3.00. Chances are very high that this game will need to be played. Be there!
