A brushfire broke out today at 901 Water Street in Milford around 12:15 PM. The Milford and Italy Fire Departments responded to the call and were busy putting out the fire.

The Milford, “No Fences Cowboy Church” is at this location. Joe Kennard Sr. owns the property and will be putting a new restaurant in called “Miss Millie’s.” They were working on putting in an outdoor patio for live music when the fire broke out.

Joey Kennard (Joe Kennard, Sr.’s son) said, "My Father owns the restaurant, “Miss Millies.” We were picking up brush because we are getting the patio ready for outdoor concerts. As we were picking up the dead brush it started on fire from the lawn mower and it started real quick."

Thanks to the quick response from Italy and Milford fire departments the fire is under control.
