Around 4:00 AM this morning an eighteen wheeler carrying produce flipped over on I-35E north bound near Chambers Creek. The driver, Amelio Rivas said," I got a little distracted and ran off the road, couldn’t get the truck back on the road and flipped the truck. I am fine, I did not get hurt."

Keith Helms with Helms Garage was there along with Carl Wood with DRP Wrecking of Ennis to help pick up the truck. Helm’s said, " I got a call today around 5:02 AM about a flipped over truck. It took two heavy duty wreckers to get it right side up."

According to State Trooper Anderson with the Department of Public Safety, “The truck was down on I-35. The driver stated that he wasn’t paying close attention and ran off the road way and over turned on the right side. There were no injuries”

The truck was hauling produce for South Coast Produce company. South Coast donated the fresh produce to local food banks and local restaurants.
