Home Again
Trinity Mission has a new administrator, Marie Wood. Marie is no stranger to Trinity Mission. She has worked for Trinity Mission since 1999. From 2005 to 2007 she was the full time administrator. She left Trinity Mission to take a promotion as vice-president of operations within the company, Covenant Dove, Inc. (owns Trinity Mission).
Wood attended Henderson County Junior College and the University of Texas. After school she moved to a small community where jobs were sparse. There was a position open for a nurses aide and she took the job. This was the start of her career. She loved working with the elderly. “God called me to minister to the elderly,” Marie explained.
After sixteen months working as vice-president of operations, Marie wanted to come home. She wanted a slower pace. So when the position of administrator opened up she got to come home to Italy and Trinity Mission.
When asked what she liked most about her job, Wood replied, “What I like best about working with the elderly is how rewarding it is. Just to know that I can help provide comfort, friendship and love to our senior citizens.”
I asked Marie if she was glad to be back and this is what she said, “It feels wonderful to be back, I feel so blessed to have the best team of employees to work with anywhere, the best residents in the world to care for. The community of Italy has been so kind and supportive of the residents of Trinity Mission. I am very happy and very thankful to be back”
Welcome back home Marie Wood!
