Dairy Queen had a full house Friday morning. It was KBEC Italy Listeners Appreciation Day. KBEC radio was there with their representatives, Lori Mosely, Cookie and Gary Bishop with a live remote.

From 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM KBEC and Dairy Queen were giving out prizes. Lori Mosely said, “This is KBEC Italy Listener Appreciation Day at the Dairy Queen. This is a live remote broadcast, where we are able to do a meet-and-greet with all our listeners here in the Italy area plus sign them up to win lots of different prizes. Several local businesses have sponsored this broadcast to be a part of it. They are: Dairy Queen of Italy, Hobbs Feed and Supply, Italy Family Medical, Trinity Mission of Italy, Uptown Cafe and Helms Garage. KBEC has tickets for Galaxy Drive-In Movies, Billy Bob’s of Texas, and some wrestling tickets for the SBJST wrestling fund raiser event in Ennis on Saturday. The really big thing we give away is a one hundred dollar bill at the end of the month for all of our listeners that come out to sign up to win.”

When asked if she had anything to say to the listeners in Italy, Cookie said, “Hello to everybody in Italy, we appreciate everybody listening and supporting KBEC.”
