Trinity Mission loves to be involved with the community. Chris Baker (Marketing Director) had an idea to help the local schools with school supplies. "Many parents can’t afford to get the necessary school supplies for their children. Our goal was to donate backpacks with several school supplies to three local school districts.

Baker started “Backpack Roundup” in July and encouraged the staff at Trinity Mission to donate school supplies. “I broke everyone up into teams and made it a compition. The nursing group actually won. I will be taking them out to dinner in September for their reward,” explained Chris.

Trinity Mission will donate the school supplies to Milford ISD, Stafford Elementary and Avalon ISD. The supplies that were collected were: 2" binders, Manila paper, pens, scissors, Kleenex, pocket folders, rulers, glue, dividers, pencils, crayons, pencil boxes, construction paper, spiral note books, glue sticks, map colors, notebook paper, highlighters and erasers.

“We are blessed with a really good staff. They like to help. We did pretty good for the first time around. We are blessed to have a staff that is caring and devoted. They care about this community and they want to help out with whatever however they can,” bragged Baker.

The school supplies will be delivered by the end of this week to the schools.

Thanks for caring Trinity Mission!
