Stafford Elementary Meet the Teacher Night
The halls were over flowing with happy parents, smiling students and all the teachers at Stafford Elementary Thursday evening for “Meet the Teacher Night”.
The students are ready for school to begin. Kendal Stephens is going into the fifth grade this year in Mrs. Murphy’s class and said, “I am really excited about starting school this year.” Alexis Parra is going in to Miss Holley’s sixth grade class and is brand new to Italy and Stafford Elementary. She said, “This is my first year coming to Stafford and I am excited. I just came from Dallas and we had to wear uniforms, so I am excited that I can wear regular clothes to school.”
Rochelle Helner was one of the many teachers at Meet the Teacher Night and said, “I am the fourth grade reading teacher and I am looking forward to lots of good readers.”
Even the members of the PTO were present. Darlene McBride is the president of the PTO and said, “We are really excited about school starting, we have some new ideas for events and fundraisers. All the money collected from the fundraisers goes back into the school for whatever is needed or wanted that the school can’t provide through the school funds.”
Thursday evening was a fun night for all, everybody is ready for school to begin.
Have a great year Stafford Elementary!
