One year ago Jeannie Richardson met with a few women in Milford and together they decided to form the “Titus Women’s Club”. Their mission was to unite the women of Milford and to be Jesus in their community by meeting one another’s needs and encouraging each other to be all they can be in Christ. Their club has grown and have been able to fulfill their mission over the past year.

Thursday September 3rd at the Milford Senior Citizen’s center members of the Titus Women’s Club were gathered celebrating their one year anniversary. Jeannie Richardson, president of Titus Women’s club said, “Tonight is our one year anniversary and we are celebrating the year that we have had which has been a great year. We have done a lot of things such as our coats for kids project which was real successful, we were really proud of that project. We have done cell phones for the soldiers and we helped the women’s resource center in Waxahachie with their bottle drive to name just a few.”

This coming year they will have the coat drive again and are presently working with the school on donating school supplies and shoes for the students. “We gave some back packs to the Milford Junior High and High School students and that is what we are working on right now,” explained Jeannie.

Richardson said, “We had a really good year and are really looking forward to the next year wanting to do more to impact our community. This year has been a growing year for us, getting organized and deciding what we wanted to be about. The one thing we know for sure is we want to be Jesus to our community. Times are really getting tougher and there is a need for help and that is what we want to do, we want to help our community.”

Keep up the good work Titus Women!
