Last evening during the blinding rain storm Logistics Inc.’s big rig took the turn too wide on exit 386 and went off into the muddy ground. Consequently being stuck in the mud all evening. At approximately 10:00 a.m. this morning a wrecking company out of Fort Worth came and began to pull the semi out of the mud.

One of the drivers of the truck said, “We got stuck last night during the huge rain storm. The rain was coming down so hard that my partner had to pull out a little bit. It was a little bit too far off the road and we got stuck.”

Keith Helms of Helm’s garage stopped by with his wrecker to try and help but said that the other wrecking company seemed to have it under control.

Police Chief Johns of the Italy Police Department was on the scene blocking traffic on exit 386 to Highway I35 E. The exit was blocked for approximately 2 hours.
