Grandparent’s Day at Stafford Elementary
The cafeteria at Stafford Elementary was filled with laughter and fun on Friday at lunch time because Stafford Elementary was celebrating Grandparents Day. Lots of grandparents were on the scene bringing lunch and sharing a meal with their grandchildren.
Carolyn Maevers (principal) said, “Once again, we enjoy having the grandparents visit us today for Grandparents Day. We have had another wonderful turnout like we always do and we hope that they will go on into the classrooms too, not just eat lunch, but go to the classrooms and visit their grandchildren’s classes too.”
Sadie Hines is in Kindergarten and said,“My grandparents are here today and I am excited to have them eat lunch with me on Grandparent’s Day.” Bruce and Sandra Ryder (Sadie’s grandparents) said “We think Grandparent’s day is great fun. We are retired school teachers and in the past we didn’t get the opportunity to have lunch with the grandkids very often so this year we are free and can come to their school functions.”
Another great day at Stafford Elementary.
Happy Grandparent’s Day!!
