McTeacher Night at McDonalds
McTeacher Night was Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and just about everybody from Italy was at McDonalds showing their community support to help raise money for Stafford Elementary.
McDonalds donated 20% of all the profits made on Thursday evening during the designated three hour period. Last year Stafford made $250.00 in percentage of sales and they also made $250.00 in tips and donations. They are still waiting to see what they made this year.
McDonalds also donated a bright red shinny bicycle for the lucky raffle winner. Students purchased raffle tickets for fifty cents each and at around 6:30 p.m. Mrs. Mandrell drew the winning ticket. And the winner was - Hunter Hinz! To top it off it was Hunter’s birthday that Thursday.
Jennifer Aguado (Pre-K teacher) said, “It looks like we are having a good turn out like we did last year. It brings in lots of money and gives the teachers a chance to interact with the students on a personal basis and gives Mom a night out of the kitchen.”
Everyone was doing their part, Jeanette Janek (Title One teacher) said, “We are here to make money for Stafford Elementary. The collected money will be used for the kids needs at school. We are selling cookies, raffle tickets for the bicycle and selling McDonald plates.”
Julie, Hunter and Sadie Hinz were having a good time at McDonalds and supporting Stafford Elementary all at the same time. Julie said, “Sadie always wants to come to McDonalds and I usually tell her no but I couldn’t tell her no on McTeacher night. It is an easy way to help the school raise money.”
Jimmie Malone (Superintendent of Italy) said, “I am here to support Stafford. This is a big thing every year and we appreciate McDonald’s doing this for us. I just wanted to do my part. It helps the school tremendously, all funds raised are directed towards the kids.”
Another great night at McDonalds for McTeacher Night. Thanks McDonalds!
