The Italy Economic Development Committee will have a regular meeting along with a Strategic Plan Steering Committee meeting on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 in the Italy City Hall Council Chambers beginning at 6:00pm. During the regular session Joyce Hobbs will take the oath of office and will join the seven member Italy EDC.

Immediately following the regular session they will go directly into the Strategic Plan Steering Committee meeting were they will follow an agenda that reads:

• 6:30 – 7:00 PM, Welcome and Introductions – Mark Stiles
• 7:00 – 7:30 PM, A review of the Economic Development Strategic Planning Process and the use of a steering committee to initiate the process; present the new EDC Mission Statement and initial Goals and Objectives; and explain the SWOT process – David Miracle
• 7:30 – 9:00 PM, Facilitate the creation of the community’s “Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats” lists – David Miracle
• 9:00 PM, Closing remarks – Mark Stiles
