Saturday October 31st was the last day of business for the Italy Donut Shop. Owner Jae Chang Bae will be renting this building to Keng Chen who will be opening a donut shop and a chinese buffet.

Jae Chang Bae said, “I am a pastor of two churches, and own several donut shops. I am sixty years old now and I need to slow down. So when Keng Chen was looking to rent a building for a restaurant I offered to rent him mine. But don’t worry, I am teaching him how to make donuts so Italy will still have a donut shop. But Italy will also have a chinese buffet.”

Bae said that construction for the renovating of his building is set up to start on Monday, November 2nd. They will be enlarging the building to include a chinese buffet restaurant. The new proprietor, Keng Chen hopes to open his donut shop and chinese buffet restaurant in three weeks to one month.
