IYAA Sports Bulletin:

The IYAA C-Team only led 6-0 against a scrappy Palmer Bulldog team at halfime. By the end of the 4th, C-Team had the Bulldogs begging for mercy and went on to win 18-0 in the Superbowl. The shutout marked a perfect 8-0, undefeated season, in which the C-Team never allowed a score.

The IYAA B-Team took a 7-0 lead going into the halftime break against a swarming Ferris Yellowjacket team. The B-Team offense was unable to pull away until the 5:00 mark in the 4th to take a 13-0 lead. B-Team added one last touchdown to claim the Superbowl Championship 19-0.

The 2009 season marks the first time in IYAA history that all three football teams (A,B & C) qualified for the playoffs.

All three teams along with their cheerleaders will continue the celebration tonight at the IYAA bonfire party at 6:00 p.m. and everyone Is invited to share in the fun! The bonfire will be at Gary Wood’s house located at 1326 L.R. Campbell Road in Italy.

Each IYAA football player should return all his football equipment at this time as well including: Helmet, shoulder pads, jersey, pants as well as their backside, hip, thigh and knee pads.
