Wednesday night, inside the Italy High School Library, Jenny and Craig Bales along with their three wonderful children, Kaytlyn, Kelton, Kaci and soon to be a fourth, Kix, were treated to a baby shower hosted by the Italy High School Faculty.

Celebrating the highly anticipated arrival of Kix Austin Bales, who is expected to make his debut on December 30, the Bales Family received loving smiles, warm hugs, snacks and gifts for Kix.

Sonny Dickerson, Italy’s Ag Advisor, constructed Kix his very first athletic locker complete with a #24 Jersey, a starter football helmet and a personalized name tag which reads, “Bales, Kix A.”

Kix also received many other baby items including a high chair, a Texas A&M teddy bear and a handsome supply of diapers. Craig will probably try to squeeze two side pads and a tail pad into the diapers. Afterall, Craig is the head football coach in Italy.

Craig also teaches 7th grade Science and Jenny is the Content Mastery Aide at the school. Kaytlyn (age 15) and Kelton (age 13) both attend Italy High School while Kaci (age 11) attends Stafford Elementary in Italy.

Craig admits the pregnancy wasn’t exactly planned but it’s obvious that Kix Austin will fit right in to the Bales family game plan, receiving a ton of playing time.

We all wish Jenny, Craig, Kaytlyn, Kelton, Kaci and Kix the best of luck, a Merry Christmas, and what is sure to be, an amazingly wonderful new year.
