JUST!: “Just Us Serving Them” brings a new Alcohol and Drug Education Program to Ellis County

The, JUST! Alcohol and Drug Education Program, is a new state approved and mandated DWI Program here in Ellis County, that will provide DWI classes certified by the Texas Department of State Health Services.  This class is a requirement in Texas for any person convicted of a first offense DWI.  

Matilda Jerry-Williams, is a State Certified DWI Education Administrator/Instructor, who is also the proud owner of the Just Fish! restaurant in Avalon, Texas. 

She says “I am excited about becoming an Administrator for DHSH and the restaurant being State Certified to teach DWI classes”.  Matilda is an educator by profession, now she has been trained and certified in Austin, Texas, (on November 20, 2009) to teach for the State of Texas Department of State Health Services. 

Texas is one of the highest ranking states when it comes to DWI and this is a much needed program for our area. JUST! Alcohol and Drug Education Program, is open to the public and will accept any referrals from judges, probation officers, justice of peace, attorneys and anyone who needs this service.  “We can also serve adjacent counties surrounding Ellis county”, states Mrs. Williams.
