Jimesha Reed lead the Lady Gladiator advance against the Waxahachie Advantage Eagles with 18-points as Italy played half speed at times while coasting to an easy win.

After a bank shot by Jameka Copeland with 4:20 left in the 1st half, the score was 26-4 and the Lady Gladiators were not done yet. Moments later, Jaleecia Fleming passed to Reed to make the game 30-2. Passing several times before shooting, Italy’s Reed accepted another pass from Fleming to make the score 32-2.

With 2:05 left in the half, Waxahachie Advance scored their second basket of the game but it just made a small dent in the Lady Gladiators’ 32-4 lead. Italy’s Megan Richards was left alone on Waxahachie’s right block and banked in the gimme to make the score 34-4, 1:40 remaining.

Fleming found Reed open inside again and again Reed knocked down the sure shot as Waxahachie barely tried to stop her. Reed was just to intimidating for the Eagles as they stared up in awe.

A pass from Copeland to Alyssa Richards capped off the monsterous 1st half performance by the Lady Gladiators as Italy trotted in with a 38-4 lead at intermission.

With 4:30 left in the game, a jumper by Fleming from the right baseline increased Italy’s advantage 45-4. The Eagles finally managed their 3rd basket of the night with an offensive rebound and put back to make the score 45-6 at the 4:11 mark.

That was the last bit of excitement for the small nest of Eagle fans as the Lady Gladiators, moving almost in slow motion, strolled to a 60-6 win.
