The moon is full, the birds are singing and, besides the fact it is a bit cold outside, your hearts are warm. It soon will be Valentine’s Day-a day for love and twitterpation. What do you have planned for your sweetheart? Dinner, dancing, chocolates or a movie? Texas offers a few things to choose from and Neotrib brings it to you.

How about dinner and a movie? A movie directed by Garry Marshall, Valentine’s Day is opening February 12 at a theater near you. This movie features an all star cast looking for romance with intertwining story lines on one Valentine’s Day in Los Angeles. This movie is rated PG-13.

Perhaps you would like Dinner in a Diner. The Museum of the American Railway in Fair Park hosts an old-fashioned Valentine’s Day dinner. Designed to replicate the experience of dining during the heyday of train travel, this romantic evening features a champagne reception, entertainment and a dinner menu from the Santa Fe Railway. On February 12 in Dallas, you can experience Mysteries of Timeless Love. The Arts District Cabaret presents its 8th annual Valentine’s Day serenade with an evening of gourmet dining and heart-felt song. Keith and Margo’s Murder Mystery Theater

This is Keith & Margo’s 20th Annual St. Valentines Day Celebration at the Omni Dallas Park West Hotel. The basic package is $94.00 per person and includes a reception, dinner, drink ticket, satirical mystery stage play with 1950’s Theme, Disc Jockey for dancing, prizes, taxes, tips and a cash bar. Museums, anyone? There are several to choose from.
Discover Dallas Day – Love Dallas Style on February 13. Located at the Old Red Museum of Dallas County History & Culture, 100 South Houston Street. Bodies…The Exhibition, open until April 30, 2010. Located in the West End Historic District at 208 N. Market. This exhibit offers an amazing look into the human body. Unlike biology and anatomy models and diagrams, at BODIES visitors are able to peer at real 3-dimensional human bodies that have been preserved for the exhibition. Lovers of the theater will be treated as well. Check out End Days at the Bath House Cultural Center in Northeast Dallas. The address is 521 East Lawther Drive. The dates for the play are February 12-27. End Days is a rapturously funny play about a slowly healing family hurling toward Armageddon. Father hasn’t changed out of his pajamas since 9/11; mother abandons Judaism for Jesus; daughter finds solace in Stephen Hawkings; and the boy next door just wants to feel welcome in someone’s house and dress like Elvis. Birds and the Bees? There is a Great Backyard Bird Count in Blanco on Feb 12-15. This is a guided bird hike. On Saturday, there will be classes on how to attract birds to a backyard, how to observe birds and children’s activities from 8 am to 2 pm at the Blanco State Park. In Waxahachie, there are several events to choose from.
