Italy Gladiators were in full swing Monday night as Waxahachie Advantage Academy fought the battle as hard as they could but to no avail. Trevor Patterson picked up the pace and shut the Eagles out, down and all around.

The day lasts a little longer these days and that’s just fine with coach Matt Coker and the marching Gladiators. Trevor Patterson pulled his team to victory against the Waxahachie Advantage Academy on Monday night with perfect, no hitter performance. The score was 16-0 and the Gladiators are on a roll.

In the bottom of the first, the Gladiators brought in 4 runs and they left the Eagles scratching under their ballcaps. They couldn’t make anything happen in the second inning, so Italy showed them again and Desmond Anderson had a great hit to right field and brought in more runs. Again, the Eagles could score nothing in the third, so the Gladiators finished it with 6 more runs on the board, totaling 16, the Eagles 0. The ballgame was over and Italy sent Waxhachie Advantage packing and searching for their wings.

Coach Coker said about the game, “A great job done well by the guys. We had a better approach at the plate at this game. The team was not afraid to steal and they became aggressive. Trevor had a no hitter game and did a great job on the mound and Desmond had a great hit to right field. We are excited about playing and it shows.”

Scoring Monday night:

Jasenio Anderson-1
Justin Buchanan-2
Ethan Simon-3
Colton Campbell-3
Trevor Patterson-1
Oscar Gonzales-2
Desmond Anderson-1
Chase Hamilton-1
Reid Jacinto-1
Caden Jacinto-1
