Italy Athletic Booster Club Meeting Reminder
Changes within the law now requires Booster Clubs to separate from their ISD’s umbrella. These requirements and guidelines with be discussed at the meeting Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. in the Italy High School Library. It is imperative that there be more parent involvement in order to keep the Booster Club moving forward.
- The Booster Club has awarded over $13,000 in scholarships over the past two years.
- Plans are to award at least $5,000 more this year.
- The Booster Club also funds the end of year athletic banquet which costs approximately $4,000 with awards and food.
- Two years ago $9,000 was given to the school from funds raised with the outfield fence signs on the baseball and softball fields.
- These sign contracts are scheduled to renew this next school year.
- Over $7,000 has been directly given to several IHS student organizations through the concession stand proceeds over the past three years.
These programs and others funded by the booster club cannot continue with the current lack of parental/volunteer support. Please plan on attending this meeting.
