Richards and Windham qualify for regionals in Tennis

As members of the Italy Tennis Team, Alyssa “Bone Crusher” Richards and Drew Windham will be advancing to Regionals. The ferocious pair placed 2nd at the district tennis meet on April 5th. During the district meet, Richards and Windham beat their opponents from Wortham 6-4, 6-2 in the first match and then Hubbard 6-4, 7-5, 6-4 to advance to the finals on April 6th. They faced off with Waxahachie Advantage and lost 1-6, 0-6 in the finals but still qualified for Regionals. Richards and Windham will play today at the Schleif Tennis Complex in Nacogdoches.
Busy juggling their tennis and softball schedules, Richards and Windham got in one last tennis practice Monday afternoon. On Tuesday, the two joined their Lady Gladiators softball team in a rivalry matchup with Hubbard and immediately headed for Nacogdoches after the game. Congratulations on making it to Regionals and good luck ladies!!!
