Awards, awards and more awards was the theme of the day Friday morning at Stafford Elementary. So many accomplishments were being honored and lots and lots of smiling students were very happy with the results of their hard work.

The gymnasium was filled with proud parents, sisters, brothers, other family members and friends watching the students accept their awards with much pride and with a great sense of accomplishment.

Awards were being given for: all homework being turned in, no “tiger paws” lost, all A’s, all A’s & B’s and all B’s. Many awards and many smiles could be seen throughout the gymnasium.

Most of the second graders stood up for not loosing any “tiger paws” and lots of Mrs. Massey’s (kindergarten teacher), Mrs. Daughtry’s (kindergarten teacher) and Mrs. Sprayberry’s (kindergarten teacher) kindergarten students completed all their homework just to name a few of Stafford students’ accomplishments.

Carolyn Maevers had this to say, “This concludes our 5th sixth week honor assembly. Our students have done well and of course we are working on our TAKS and our Tera Nova right now. The student’s academics are improving and I believe it will show in our TAKS results and in our Tera Nova results.”

Good job Stafford Elementary students!
