The Italy Economic Development Corporation hired Cam Fearis to appraise real property at a brief meeting Monday evening.

The recommendation came from Mark Stiles, EDC president, with the cost not to exceed $2,400. The motion passed unanimously.

Fearis said the appraisal would be complete by the next EDC meeting set for May 24.

Members never revealed which property they were considering.

The board also approved minutes from the March 22 meeting and approved bills. Current money market balance is $164,634.89. Sales tax for March is $5,076.84.

Members present were Stiles, Elmerine Bell, Tom Little and Darrell Rosemond.
