The Italy School Board of Trustees hired three new personnel and realigned one employee at a called meeting Tuesday afternoon.

Carrie Cockran, current school counselor, will take over as consumer and family science teacher. She replaces retiring Ann Hyles.

The board hired three others as coach/teachers: Aidan Callahan, Heather and Jeffrey Richters.

Trustees Paul Cockerham and Tommy Morrison were not present at the meeting.

Congratulations to the latest additions to the Italy Coaching Family. I know the student-athletes of IISD will be served well by these fine coaches. They are also walking into a situation with hungry, young athletes who are ready to accept the challenge of Class AA. I know that with such a combination pulling together, the successes of the past two years will continue to be maintained for years to come.
