Italy Junior High Honors Assembly proves education is priority

The Italy Junior High School Honors Assembly recognized 7th thru 8th grades’ top academic achievers on Wednesday, May 12 inside Italy Coliseum. Kristi Souder announced the certificate and medal recipients while Principal Tanya Parker presented the awards with a smile and a handshake for a job well done.

To conclude the Honors Assembly, Brett Kirton, the 2009 recipient of the Oliphant Cup, presented the award to the 2010 Oliphant Cup award recipients, Meagan Hooker and Cody Medrano, both 8th graders.

Congratulations to all the students for their hard work and good luck to the 8th graders who will be applying their brainpower at the high school level next year.
