After finishing second in district, the 2010 1A Italy Lady Gladiators softball team won the bi-district, area, and regional quarterfinal championships before ending their dramatic playoff run as regional semi-finalists. 2010 marks the third time the Lady Gladiators have reached the regional semi-final round (2003, 2004 and 2010).

Coaches Jennifer Reeves, Tina Richards and Andi Windham deserve credit as well for a job well done. The team continued to improve throughout the playoffs playing with enthusiasm and a bucket full of heart. As coaches, Reeves deserves a mad scientist award for ensuring team chemistry, Richards gets the shoulder to lean on award and Windham gets the best dugout dancer award.

Congratulations to the Italy Lady Gladiators’ coaches and players on an amazing and fun season. You make us proud!
