Every Thursday afternoon, Vivian Brooks and Bonnie Watson come to Trinity Mission and lead the residents in song. They pass out the words to all the songs so the residents can sing along. They sing songs like, Onward Christian Soldiers, The Old Rugged Cross, I Come To the Garden, Jesus Loves Me and many more of the old traditional hymns.

This Thursday I was lucky enough to be there to hear first hand all the music and see all the smiling faces of the residents while they sang to the Lord. They were getting so much enjoyment from singing the songs.

Vivian Brooks said, “We come here to Trinity Mission every Thursday at 2:00 pm to just join in with the residents and get to know them and Praise the Lord. Today we have a visitor, Unice Shay playing the piano and the residents are just loving it and singing all the old songs.”

Carolyn Powell (activities director) said, “Vivian and Bonnie come faithfully every Thursday to do sing alongs and read a Bible story. The residents sing all the old songs and sing from the music sheets so they don’t miss a beat.”

Another fun filled day at Trinity Mission.
