The roads in Texas are paved with haunted houses. In fact, in the Dallas area alone, there are 25 major haunted houses, more than Houston and San Antonio combined. Whether you are in Italy or travel to a big metropolis, you are sure to be a winner finding the right house or ghoulish activity for you and your group.

ITALY
Necroplex, located on Hwy 77 north of town, is one the top 10 haunted houses in Texas and the website has more details. 666 bodies discovered 29 years ago and the killings are expected to begin again soon. If you have not gone to visit the Kilemol family, baby, it’s time.

HILLSBORO
October 31 The 2nd Annual Spooky Pooch Costume Contest at the Outlets at Hillsboro. Registration begins at 2pm, with a $5 entry fee, the contest begins at 3pm and the whole mall will participate in Trick or Treating from 2-6pm or (until the snacks run out). The contest has prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. All domesticated pets and or owner duo entries welcome. All dogs must be on a leash. Children are invited to dress up too. There will be a costume contest for 12 and under. The adults will have a contest and should register by 5pm. Sight Night by Lions Club International will be on hand and they will be accepting used or new eyewear donations. CarterBlood Care will also be on site accepting donations. WAXAHACHIE
Screams located on the Scarborough Fairegrounds, 2511 FM-66. SCREAMS offers five haunted attractions to test your courage. All five are included in your admission and you can go through them as many times as you like… or dare. Their website has more information.

ELM MOTT

MIDLOTHIAN
Tayman Graveyard located at 4721 Cecilia Ave. Tayman Graveyard is a living tribute to the historic Tayman family who originally lived here. Fences and other structures have been built to protect the area, but the history of this haunted area should be feared, and no one should take lightly the curse that has hounded the Tayman property for generations.
