Thanksgiving at Trinity Mission
Thursday evening Trinity Mission hosted their annual Thanksgiving dinner for the residents, family members and friends and once again the “house was packed”. If you got there a little late there was no parking and you got to stand at the back of a very long line to get your dinner but indeed it was well worth the wait. The food was wonderful and the company couldn’t be beat.
Trinity Mission was decked out with elegance with cloth table cloths and beautiful table settings, aromas of turkey and all the “fixins” was wafting through the air to create a wonderful dinning experience for all.
Chris Baker (marketing director) said, “We are celebrating Thanksgiving one week early because on Thanksgiving Day most of our residents are out of the facility with family and friends so we always want to include everyone for our big Thanksgiving dinner. We are feasting on turkey and dressing, all the traditional foods, crescent rolls, fruit salad, green bean casserole. We have several National Honor Society students from Italy ISD helping us out tonight. I called the principal and she willingly said sure. We really do appreciate them helping us out tonight.”
President of the National Honor Society, Katelyn Bales, said, “We are helping serve hot apple cider and whatever else needs to be done for the Trinity Mission Thanksgiving meal to get service hours for NHS but most of all because we love helping our community.”
There were so many family members and friends there. “Our head count tells us we are serving about two-hundred eighty to three hundred family and friends tonight,” explained Chris Baker.
Karen and Brian Mathiowetz were there and Karen said, “Brian and I are so excited about coming to eat with Miss Guthrie. We love her so much and it is nice to be her family tonight. We really appreciate Trinity Mission doing this and the food is absolutely marvelous.”
Another grand time at Trinity Mission.
