Milford students bring Christmas cheer
Tuesday morning Trinity Mission’s halls were filled with children’s voices singing Christmas songs for all to hear.
Milford ISD’s Pre-K and Kindergarten classes were delighting residents at Trinity Mission with songs such as Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Jingle Bells and Gingerbread Cookies.
After the singing came the best part for the residents. The children had made handmade gifts with glitter and glue and handed one to each resident along with big hugs. Lots of smiles and love could be felt throughout Trinity Mission.
Winona Crumpton (pre-k teacher) said, “We started this a couple of years ago bringing the Pre- K and Kindergarten classes over to sing to the residents of Trinity Mission and give out some Christmas presents that the students made. We explain to the children that a lot of the residents don’t see their family on the holidays so that is why we bring them gifts and sing for them. Giving back to the community is what it is all about.”
“Milford ISD’s Pre-K and Kindergarten classes are bringing the spirit of Christmas seen through the children’s eyes for everyone at Trinity Mission to brighten their day and bring them Christmas cheer,” explained Carolyn Powell (activities director).
Merry Christmas!
