Waxahachie Lighthouse for Learning

It’s that time again for continuing education. Waxahachie Lighthouse for Learning is gearing up for their spring semester. Go ahead and sign up.

You don’t have to live in Waxahachie to participate in all the diverse classes the Lighthouse is offering. The classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis until a maximum number is reached and pre-registeration and payment is required for all classes. Classes will meet at Waxahachie High School, unless otherwise noted.

You can join Daily Light photographer, Neal White, for Basic Photoshop or Art Photography. How about a Mosaics class or learn how to play the guitar? Murrie Wainscott is offering a class on Coleman Lantern Troubleshooting. There is Basic Dog Obedience course, Two Step Dance class or Beginning Quilting. They even offer Kids in the Kitchen for ages ranging from 5-12, depending on the class. There is Conversational Spanish, Maintenance Welding, Tai Chi, Master Gardener Series and Basket Weaving. There are so many different classes to choose from, it might be hard to decide.

Call the Community Education Office at 972-923-4631, ext. 142 if you have any questions. You are also welcome to register online at their website or come to 411 N. Gibson St at the Waxahachie ISD Administration Building and register in person. Hurry! Some of these fun classes begin February 21.
