Congratulations to the Italy High School students who placed in the top six at the District 15AA High School Academic UIL meet in Grandview this week.

Melissa Smithey – 5th place Feature Writing
Sierra Harris – 4th place Editorial Writing

In addition, the following students placed in the top three and will compete at the Regional Academic UIL meet in Stephenville on April 16.

Amber Mitchell – 2nd place Headline Writing
Megan Hooker – 2nd place Informative Speaking
Melissa Smithey – 2nd place Prose Interpretation
Susana Rodriguez – 1st place News Writing

The Journalism Team placed 3rd overall, and the Speech Team placed 4th overall.
