The 2011 Tour d’Italia and Summer Fest is right around the corner and will be here before we know it. Every year, the Tour d’Italia raises funds which benefit Italy High School, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and other North Texas charities. This year, the Tour d’Italia enters its 26th year and it will be bigger and better than ever!

The 2011 Tour d’Italia will take place on Saturday, June 18th and some of the exciting activities being planned include:

• A Bicycle Rodeo
• Vendor Booths
• A Rest Stop Decorating Contest
• Helmet Fitting and Bike Safety Demos

In addition, I am looking for volunteers to help with parking, registration and set-up for the ride so if you’re interested in helping out, please let me know!! Let’s show these cyclist how much we appreciate their fund raising efforts.
